The reoccurance of doom

you're missing my point. you lads listen to music you call dark, which is about pain and sorrow in the seas of despair. then you go all mental when you see a picture about real pain and that - poetry/reality :p

I don't listen to Opeth to sorrow. I just like the music, not that it's dark...
Music and emotions hasn't to go together, if i like something no-one has to tell me it's not that good. I decide that for myself. Oh and please don't take this as an attack against you. :) :) :)

but i dont listen to music that describes dead babies!

mehdi is right. half of the so called doom fans who love 'depressive' music and feel like a good melancholy once in a while, dont really understand the reality of extreme badness. if they had to live through proper utter desperation like many people have, they'd shut up about whispering forests and either get drunk or scream.

There is absolutely no relation between Doom music..and real life Doom or slaughter(regarding the Intifada)..You are classifying people here..do yo expect people to laugh or be happy when they see such pictures? I mean you are saying that people who listen to music that they call dark and is about pain and sorrow go all mental when they see pain..then people who listen to rap/pop music laugh about it?..there is no relation man..

it's a whole. i'm attracted by [among other things] dark art, but the real doom stuff about nervous breakdowns and that, so therefore any form of real doom artistic/media format appeals to me. the point is that you guys react as if i was a rapist, then list to 'regret' or 'lost control' and think it's cool, where it's as doom as some pictures i posted here. i can get you're not into these pictures, but well, be coherent :)

well, moody i think is right in his own way.but music should provoke at least hope, and not just spotting doomness.that's why we all listen to a song more than once.i bet if you see a really horrible picture you dont want to see it around again.

i enjoy nice positive songs as well as doom fucked up tunes. i don't expect the same things from all the songs i listen to.
