My school wont allow our band to play anything we like in a concert. Its " too much of that hard rock music" aka.... I think we should be able to play whatever we want to... its a concert run by kids at the end of the year..

What are some GOOD death metal songs that arent too over the edge for the people in the audience.. but still could be great to play?

Give me your best suggestions.:)

Why not play some good heavy metal instead of something that everyone but the people in your band will hate? Or am I not thinking anti-establishment enough?

Or you could do what Metallica did during the MTV awards once and play "So What?" instead of the song they were supposed to play.

Or maybe you should have some respect for the elderly. =\

Just go to the damn dance and have fun, why turn it into a war? Who cares, listen to the music you want to when you get home...

Why even play? It really doesn't fucking matter. Just invite all of the metal kids to someones garage and play for them

I would play something that was easily accessible by the audience, something with catchy guitars and vocals and without any kind of possibly offensive message, but something that is dark and heavy at the same time. Don't ask me for recommendations, though, that's not my genre of expertise by far.

best would be if you guys play some sort of viking black metal or some sort of folk metal...

one of these bands might work:
die Apokalyptischen reiter
Aes Dana
Finntroll
Einherger

and plus, all the garages here are filled with useless rusty car parts since i live in a hick town. :D

Seriously, just go play at a community center, someones garage without rusty cars, a club in the city, whatever. If you must play at the
