Yes, but most voters won't consider pitchers for MVP, since they have the Cy Young Award. If there's one pitcher who's really dominant in a season where there is no position player who really stands out, then you could see a pitcher being named MVP.

Because HRs and RBIs, I don't know, win baseball games all the time. And besides it doesn't always go to that guy. Justin Morneau won last year and he was not the HR or RBI leader.
