So I made my first decent blind buy in a while: Icarus Witch - Capture The Magic. Pretty good post-2000 traditional heavy metal from a band who hasn't forgotten their roots.

What do you recommend by them with the exception of Darkness Descends? I've had DD forever now & while it's good, I never thought it was nearly as mindblowing as everyone makes it out to be.

Speaking of Agalloch, I just DLed the new White EP the other day. I don't think I've listened to all of it yet, but it seems pretty promising.

I too recommend The Mantle, although Pale Folklore is a close second.

DD is the only one you really need from the band. After that, the quality drops off significantly
