DB: glad you like adramelch dude, i love the production though, everything about that album is both strange and a little sloppy which is perfect for me. i don't think they're near fates warning level in the songwriting department, but purely in terms of isolated passages they aren't too far off.

edit: actually i do really love this album even if it's a little top-heavy, the best tracks might be closer to FW quality than i give them credit for. time will tell i guess

Sounds about right. I'd recommend you give it a listen as well, though. Quite epic and doomy.

It's their best since Mystification. I'd say, following the amazing Crystal Logic-Mystification era, Voyager really is pretty much the best thing that they've done. Not to count out Invasion and Metal of course. They haven't put out even a mediocre album though.

Atlantis Rising, Spiral Castle and Gates of Fire are all better than Voyager imho. And I think they stole/reused a riff for the intro of frost and fire

and id say Courts of Chaos is pretty mediocre :'X
