Tri: Oh, come on, you're a DT fan and you haven't realized that exactly 92.436% of what they say is metaphors? It's called The Mind's I because it's our inner sight, our inner selves, the path we take in order to be able to see things more clearly (think nirvana, if that makes things easier for you). Besides, *points to 6's post*.

Of course I have and I didn't mean an eye, as in one in peoples face. But an eye is a good metaphor for something that watches the world...

I actually had a DT-text to analyse in English in my school. Nobody understood shit except me and another girl. The lesson was about metaphors. Geuss I got a good grade then.

The skydancers

*Mikael would be the first one to be a skydancer and move to dark tranquillity. Mikael had a skinny face, a slender body and hair shining, as gold, and this would be called beauty.

Mikael was to be skydancer over all weather. When he laughed there would be sunshine, when he sang there would be rain, and when he screamed there would be thunder, but after thunder and rain, there would always be sunshine again.

Mikael had a flaw though, and this was a character that caused him to always make the wrong decisions and hence weakness.

*Niklas, the second one, would be a skydancer that could see beauty in the simplest things and could them also recreate in form of pictures and music. This would be called art.

Niklas was to be skydancer over love. Every time he played his guitar a little girl would fall in love and when he reached the chorus she would have her first kiss.

Niklas had a flaw though, but no one knew what it was, since he painted it over with beautiful colors, and hence dishonesty.

*The third skydancer to be was Anders. He was the one of the three that could drink the greatest amount of beer without passing out and run the most miles without getting tired. This would be called strength.

Anders was to be skydancer over sound and now - Niklas could actually hear the tunes of love coming from his guitar and Mikael could now hear the song that made the rain fall.

But Anders, too, had a flaw - the fact that he was the only one who could feel the marks of his years as skydancer - marks in form of back pain and cut fingers, and hence aging.

*Martin H, the fourth one, would be the only skydancer with a driver’s license. This would be called maturity.

Martin was to be skydancer over struggle, as he was always trying very hard to live up to the other’s expectations, always struggling for the right image and always struggling to play the right chords (of which you could now hear discolorations, as sound was now created.)

But Martin had a flaw. Though he always did his best in every situation, he never dared showing his true feeling and commitment, and hence shyness.

*The fifth skydancer was Fredrik, but of him we know very little, since the papers about his time inviting the dark side in has been burned. He was almost surely skydancer over family though.

*And there was also a sixth skydancer, but of whom we rarely speak of, since he betrayed the others. His name was Fridén and he was the only one of the skydancers that had thought of the profit that you could gain from the subdued. This would be called business sense.

Anders would be skydancer over abundance. He decided who would be rich and who would be poor. Many castles were built to his honor, as kings and emperors worshipped him all over the world.

Anders had, not unlike the others, a flaw. Although he lived in a glut of beer and music he could never get enough and always had a desire for more, and this takes us to why he betrayed the others.

That was kinda the point....if sees it he will think "Mikael is god over fuckin' thunder, martin over fight, anders over noise, and fridén over all richness... I'm god over freak'n love! How gay is that?"

What do you think he should rule over then?
