so i just spent the weekend tracking drums for the nasheim album. new heads all over the drumkit, nice, expensive cymbals, great mics, every song recorded and done

and then i go to the studio today to do some edits and i find out the left overhead mic is distorted as shit throughout all the songs due to probably a bad cable. AWESOME. we're gonna have to probably scrap this entire session and do the whole album all over again. I LOVE MY LIFE.

because if i'm going to spend 1300+ euros on preparing for and recording a very important album i have been writing on and off for over three years i'm not going to accept shit like that

maybe we could even hide it well enough that most people won't even notice in the final mix (for some god damn reason we never heard it during the entire session but now that i hear it, i can't un-hear it) but the problem is it will be bugging ME because i KNOW it is there
