The (Un)official write anything you want page

So the kids at work listen to what I can only describe as Pop Metal. I don't know any of the names other than Bullet For My Valentine (?), but it's this weird combination of grunts/growls with autotuned clean vocals sung in easy to digest pop stylings. Oh sure, when I was young I liked all the melodeath garbage that was being birthed at the time, I thought being metal and accessible was quite the keen concept. But at least Heartwork and Wolverine Blues still remained within the frame of Fucking Metal. There were catchy moments to be sure, but it remained at least a little ugly.

Apparently this stuff is popular these days. Really popular. I'm all but isolated from general trends in popular music, television, and "culture," (unless you count jerking off to photos of Christina Aguilera) but these kids in question have showed me live concerts of such shit bands playing to HUGE crowds, and I don't shake my head so much as :err: and walk away slightly confused. It's bad music, but it makes bank.

Which lead me to think, there should be a pop/death/"metal" band called Exfoliation. They could be sponsored by Neutrogena and teach the young idiots about proper skin care, whilst selling out stadium at a time. Take the Him logo and turn it into a lufa sponge instead of a heart. I think I should pitch this to Madison Avenue and laugh all the way to the bank.
 
So....I think I mentioned somewhere that my brakes keep giving out. It's been going on for quite a long time. I'm just too busy to check it out. Well, those fuckers. This morning I decided I was just going to replace the pads. Thinking, "start cheap, eh?" So, I go to throw some $20 pads on there and the driver's side brakes are all fucked up. The pads are worn unevenly and the disc is all warped. Shit. So, I replace the pads anyway lol.
I move on to the passnger side and I go to loosen the caliper bolt and...uhmm.....well....it's not there. It's then that I realize that one $3 bolt has fucked up my entire front brake system, forcing the driver's side to overcompensate and nearly killing me many times over. Unbelievable.
So, because this fucking bolt couldn't just stay put, I ended up replacing the pads, both discs, and all the hardware. All on a vehicle that I'm selling in the very near future.
Stupid cars.
 
Well my brother and the wife have decided to try and work things out for the sake of her kid, my brother's step-son. I don't really think that's the right move but whatever. Now their unhappiness is just going to drag on, she's going to keep cheating, and eventually they'll split up and it will hurt everyone even more.

Basically comes down to money. She and my brother have been married for only a little over a year, and she's already willing to give up on the financial struggles everyone has when starting out, to go and live an easy life with a "sugar daddy." Apparently, she also feels that she's too good for my brother because she makes THREE MORE DOLLARS AN HOUR than him, at her big fancy job at Lowe's. Just...wow. What a piece of white trash.
 
With all due respect, that's a HUGE mistake on your brother's part. I believe a marriage can be annuled with little to no legal expense if it's done within a certain time frame. Maybe even as long as a year. If I were your brother, I would seek out an annulment based on infidelity. If that's not feasible, he needs to run far far away from this chick (but ultimately get legally separated from this idiot)
 
I'm a little flabbergasted at the idea of "working it out" for the sake of someone else's child. FUCK THAT.

I agree whole-heartedly. I've been telling him since yesterday to be strong and not be taken for a fool, but he's done it anyway. If anything, she only wants to work things out so my brother can keep taking care of the kid and she won't have to.

I know he loves the kid a lot, but he's not his biological father and he's only known him for a couple of years. He just needs to get away from that situation entirely. If they went through with divorce then I really believe the kid would end up living with his grandparents, and that would probably be best for him tbh.
 
yo Miller ... yeah you. i just had to delete a bunch of my followup comments on photos on FB that you and monsieur Smith made as well ... obviously when you guys jumped ship all your history went as well. there were a bunch of photos where it looked like I was rapping with meself like a retaaaad. well ... what you have to say to that? :loco:
 
Speaking of 666, Destroyer's N.A tour is hanging by a tether due to visa issues. Their Brooklyn date has been postponed to the end of the month, their gig at JAXX completely canceled. Hopefully everything gets squared away by the time they're set to show in L.A.
