The Unstoppable LUNCH Thread!

lunch: penne with tuna, tomato, and olives both black and green.

dinner: in about an hour I have to go to my Roman neighbor's house for a dinner....fuck yes...Roman cooking! :)

Penne is the heaviest pasta and most filling. That could be it.

I have to say that I think good cooking is written in the DNA of Roman people. The food is quite heavy at times, but it's just so good. For dinner, we started off with the typical salami/assorted cheese/speck dish for appetizers, then he made egg noodle pasta with chunks of sausage, mushrooms, and olive oil...and I thought that was it. Oh no, he then brings out grilled beef for everyone.

I think I'm about to explode.

Amazing things you learn about your neighbor:

He wasn't just in the Italian military...he was in SpecOps for a while, THEN joined the FUCKING FRENCH FOREIGN LEGION.

Holy shit what a badass. I hope that was really sausage in the pasta and not people.

Fucking sick man. SpecOps is apparently really badass from what my military buds tell me.

He's fucking tough as nails. Got stabbed like 6 times a few months ago working as a bouncer in a local club by a bunch of Romanian thugs...he now has no feeling in parts of one of his legs but is still able to walk normally. We were swapping stories of our time in Iraq and he told me he misses it. I believe it because every other military service there has much more freedom than we did in the US military. Our military is full of a bunch of fucking politicians in the upper echelons. They're fucking asleep at the wheel.

Yesterday for my late lunch, I made this:

Tai Green Cury, with organic chicken, sweet peas, bell peppers, broccoli, onions, bamboo shoots, coconut milk and a lot of spices.
Ate it with basmati rice and seasame seeds on top.
Needless to say.... it was PERFECT. 10/10
