It's probably why those old shows were so cool! I thought it was age. or injury. But it's just the lack of hard drugs!https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/g...uctive-behavior-during-1990s-it-fking-sucked/
I know it's not just musos 'waking up', or having 'woken up' after years and years of drug abuse to realise how lucky they were, how bad things got etc etc, normal people do to. But it never ceases to surprise me how people like Gary talk about the past. Days and nights of drug induced behaviour, constant drug and alcohol binges, and gigs that went down in history as being the prime time for many of the bands. Turn the tides 20-30 years and the same people are getting clean, concentrating more of their jobs, using new technology, you'd think the 'clean' gigs of today would be head and shoulders above what the drug addled bands offered. Live gigs do seem to get more praise than albums these days but we still seem to look back at the days when the performers (and many of the crowd) were nowhere near 100% game fit as the gigs to live up to.

I'm always a little shocked when I read something like this. Fucking meth is bad shit. I just don't think of professional people doing that kind of shit. ( I know that's not the case). Especially smoking it. And more especially people who are old enough to know better.
