The what's going on in Thrash thread

Solo albums are quite popular now. Seems like there is very few of the bigger or more publicised bands that don't have reports of someone doing a solo album.

Yeah I wonder what happened with that?

A quick web search doesn't reveal much of him since 2011 and metal archives suggest he hasn't recorded anything sine 2001

Yeah wtf, he shouldn't have to defend it at all

I agree, Bravewords has the same article but it's worded differently and they don't make it sound like Kerry 'defending' what they have done since. Not suggesting Bravewords is some kind of pinnacle or reporting but the two articles read quite differently considering they came from the same source.

Here's proof why we need wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massacration

Massacration is a Brazilian satirical heavy metal band, self-proclaimed "greatest and most classic heavy metal band, the inspiration behind most heavy bands since 1985, whose members' hairdos and posing influenced the whole heavy metal culture".

Years active 2002–2012, 2016-present
Sadly though this isn't a joke, they are actually serious and wiki hasn't been edited. :)

I tried listening to one song but I didn't make the entire song before turning it off.

I don't even know what to make of that

I actually started listening to one song figuring if the band was as comical in music as they were on wiki they might have some entertainment value, but like I say I didn't get through one song.

I know it wasn't the first music/band site but I don't have a problem with him suggesting it was the first metal site because I do remember at the time searching for other metal bands and none of the big names had sites. It was early 95 I started doing sites for bands but they weren't anything like what Megadeth had.

The days of looping midi files every time you loaded a page, half the time if you had your own music you didn't even notice the midi until it had you realised the song you were listening to sounded weird.

I never used that, but I remember the jump from midi metal, to wav files to mp3. It didn't matter how music sounded through crappy speakers, if it was midi it was terrible, if it was wav it took forever to download and if it was mp3 even on a dial up connection you could get a song in an hour!
