The what's going on in Thrash thread

Well I guess as you age being able to craft with the same type of hunger and creativity is so much more of a challenge .
You know what I really hate about this? For the last couple years it's been, Oh Sneap is great. He's family. Things couldn't be better. It's all up to him if he wants to continue. We can't wait to all get back out there. And then poof. Statement. It's all over. Not only that. But the bands statement and Andy's statement already collide!
I don't care about if they go on as 4 piece (as stupid as that sounds) I don't care about KK. I don't care if they get someone else.
But all the past praise and good feeling seems to be bullshit now. And makes them all seem like dicks and nothing about them is genuine.
That's how it comes off to me anyway. And that's the kind of shit that makes me not support bands more than anything else.
I'm not saying this is the way it is. But it's how it is for me.

It's like with Mustaine and his honeymoon phase. He's always gaga over the new blood. Then after a year or so, maybe less, maybe more. It's over and he' talking shit and no one knows the truth or can get used to a line up. People usually know when they're that kind of person. Just keep your trap shut to begin with.

Age brings all sort of differences, voices are one of the first to change, and it's not just things like sound, being able to hold notes, scream all sort of things change. At least with instruments it's only failing ability not body parts :)

Pretty good. Lots going on. Good bass levels. It's about damn time. I wonder of one of those solos is Bobby's? Or all Phil? It kinda sounds like two different styles to me. But Phil is really good and could pull that off.

I'm not quite sure I see the same thing in the lyrics as he does. In the article he says something about it spanning time from start to end (or some other words I don't remember right now). But I didn't get the same feeling when I read those lyrics

Old people and their fickle ways :)
We should all revert to Blabber comments to find out the real reason why these things are done :)

Yeah I didn't read it until now. I don't get that either. And it's not encouraging to read he doesn't have time for a full album. He couldn't have figured that out before he got the band back together and hired Bobby? Isn't a full album the end game? Otherwise what's the point?

Yeah I understand there is distance issues and all that sort of stuff but I get the feeling Phil and Sean are doing all (or at least most of) the writing so how hard was it for them to make more than a few songs in 12 months? They aren't sounding like their hearts are in it.

Agree. And previously Phil made it sound like he had so many songs that he had to get out before he let anyone else write. But it turned into just a couple songs. I mean c'mon! Bobby G has 4 Overkill albums plus two Satans Taint albums and who knows what else. Full album problem solved!

I really don't think they want Bobby for his song writing.
