Hmmm I'm not sure if we should be concerned or not. The media here is hammering the governments response to covd, as usual, but with cases as they are the media are reporting that the medical industry has gone Code Brown. I understand code red is dangerous, but is code brown just the easy way of saying the system has shit itself?

It's like in Airplane when the shit hits the fan
They just had our highest medico in the country on TV talking about it and despite the beat up of the media making it sound dire he claimed code brown is common and called for heaps of different reasons, none of which is hospitals being overrun. He actually said that when a hospital goes into code red in this country it's at 33% capacity (be it ICU, the wards, ER whatever) so given code red is bad and code brown is not as bad we have to be well under 33%. Yet the media is screaming that we are all in dire straights and the hospital system will crash.
