It's the guy from Iced Earth's last 3 albums, not sure if people have called for him to be in Annihilator though. Anyone but Jeff singing in Annihilator can't be a bad thing. TBH I'm not overly thrilled with any of the guys he's got playing on this Metal II project but if this leads him to the realisation that he's not singer and he needs to hire a decent singer for Annihilator's next album I'm all for it.

It's also not the best Van Halen song they could choose.
He says in that interview that he's got a new label so maybe with a bit of luck they'll pay for him to do something better. I don't know for sure that he's been budget recording for the last few years but it kind of feels like he has. If a label gives some cash up front maybe he wont have to do that.

He might well be budgeting this album too, the names of the players appearing are not what I'd call A1 metal stars. I'm sure they all come with a fee but I'm betting it's not as big of a fee as some would charge.

Haha. Nooo. No it shouldn't. Even if appropriate! He seems to think everything sounds great, so I don't think he's gonna break with what he thinks is working anytime soon. I think once you become bandleader, writer, producer, singer and guitarist your objectivity is spectacularly blown.

He's like Mustaine, the band falls apart around him but it's everyone elses fault, and he becomes the best person in the band because he's the longest serving member.

Geezus I understand he's thankful for many things but this Metallica ass kissing needs to stop. Anthrax are making themselves look like dicks these days as they scramble to try and remind people the were once something.
Although to be fair this was from an article published months ago, if the story was published when it happened it would be almost forgotten by now.

I don't read this as much as kissing Metallica's ass as much as it is low level journalism asking shitty questions and trying to make connections to the historic big four shows. Bello seems to have a legit personal connection with Hetfield on a share issue too. It is shame that Anthrax feels the need to constantly make connections with Metallica. They need better publicists and marketing and should focus on singing their own praise. I mean, c'mon, the last two Anthrax albums have been better than anything the other member of the Big 4 have released in the last 20 years.

For sure, the media are one of the biggest problems we have in this world. It doesn't matter what form of journalism it is the media no longer reports the news. The media forces headlines and by lines at people and then spend it's time trying to convince the public it's factual. Blabber is no different, they selectively pull lines from everywhere to make things sound worse than they are.
I like Frankie, and I feel as much for him as I do for anyone who had a shitty up bringing, I don't even have issue with him finding a soul mate in James and telling people that. But between Scott, Charlie and now Frankie pretty much every article, every interview, every live show they've done for the past 6 months has included some mention of the Big 4 and Metallica. They rarely, if ever talk about Megadeth or Slayer, only Metallica, and now, bad journalism or not, Frankie is giving James all the credit for the Big 4. The Big 4 gig didn't happen because of the niceness of one person or one band, it was all 4 of them. If anything the Big 4 happening had more to do with Ulrich and Mustaine pulling their fat egos in then it had to do with James, who from what history tells us was probably wasted 90% of the time anyway.
As much as I liked Kings it certainly wouldn't be my highest ranking big 4 release of the last 20 years.
