The what's going on in Thrash thread

This is in Moari (CC can be turned on) but it's not bad for a couple of kids proud of their heritage.
Apparently they are the youngest band to sing to Napalm and their latest release is a little more mainstream but there is some heavy shit in their catalogue which dates the youngest back to 13. Even now I think the oldest is only 17 or something.

I think they could have easily trimmed a few minutes off that second song ( haven't listened to the first yet ) there's really not much going on. I did really like the drums though. I had no idea white people spoke Moari. As their main language that is.

I don't really like their latest single but it's easy to see why they are being compared to Overkill, Slayer and Exodus with their music and the way they play. When the album comes out if the songs are like the single I wont be interested but if the songs are more like their earlier stuff I will.

Maori's like any indigenous group have changed a lot over the thousands of years they've been around, they don't all look like warriors and do the huka.

Interesting, I'm going to have to look more into these guys.

I decided I'm not overly keen on their back catalogue, there is some ok stuff in it but I wouldn't buy it. Bannerless is the same, one of the clips on the buy page just isn't my scene, but the other two clips are not bad.

50,000 years ago they didn't have Target, they had to make their clothes from whatever animals they killed, and kiwis are only small birds :p

I didn't like Bronx Casket Co, and I didn't like the song he did a few months ago so I don't have much hope...if any.

Yeah I agree I'll give it a listen because of who he is but I'm suspecting I wont be buying it.

I feel like it's going be like most her stuff to me, on the verge of being really cool but just not heavy enough. But I do have hope for this one lol

I don't mind her not being heavy all the time. I like the diversity in what she does and everything she does has a power to it, even her dance albums which I didn't like. Preforming and writing again with Tommy is something I hope will live up to expectations.

Dance albums?

Actually it was only one and it wasn't quite dance music, just seemed like it. Machine II Machine. It was a bit more poppy and although it had a cover of a Die Krupps song which is almost metal the rest of it was quiet 'electronic'. There was more of an erotic theme to the songs than she'd done before and it was quite removed from her other stuff, but still had some powerful music on it.

Hehe, I haven't heard of any Doro sex tapes out there, but you never know.
I'm not going to search for it either, Doro is too close to Dora and I almost guarantee there will be a porn movie out there called Dora the Explorer.
