The what's going on in Thrash thread

It's clear to me that while Joey's solo stuff may not have been full on thrash it was closer to thrash than anything Anthrax did after SOWN. Joey's style and music did not really change that much after Anthrax, where as Stomp442 etc were a complete change and nothing like what 80's and 90's Anthrax was all about.

Does the merch really go to help others? Too many of these feel good things don't actually help as much as it's claimed.

Just like Bittner doing the drum lessons I don't have a problem with them doing this I have a problem with the thought that these guys seem to be doing anything at all not to talk or think about the new album they have even given up promising.

Well that's what it says lol. I suppose they could be full of shit. But then a lawsuit could cost them a lot more than what they'll make from this and overall they seem like good guys.

But I'm totally with you. Why they aren't talking anything about OR have any snippets of the new album is bullshit at this point. What the fuck are they doing.

I didn't quite mean to suggest they were ripping people off. But one thing we have found in this country is that a lot of people seem to mean well with their charity but the amount they actually give is extremely low because some of these charities spend up to 90% of what they make on admin and operational costs.

Well Charlie is playing Billy Eilish covers, that's pro-active...well it's active....we it's something. It really does just seem like they are doing everything to avoid a new album.

Ugh, yeah they really have nothing. Using Twatter really is scraping the bottom. They'd be better off digging up footage of recent tours.
Oh and thanks Alex for heads up on Tupac....

The only relevance of the topic was that it was the anniversary of RJD's death. It's not a question I'd ask someone but each to their own. However to have Blabber transcribe it into a full article is just weird. Imagine if every tweet was article worthy.

Our problem here is that it's easy to set up a 'charity' and no one really checks things. Even the likes of Red Cross etc has high paid executives at the top but they do make a difference. But we had quite a few celebs put their names to charities (as a tax write off) only for it to come out a few years after they've started than only a fraction of the money has gone to the charity, the rest is eaten up in wages and expenses. I have no issue with bands trying to do good, I also like the idea of bands offering classes, lessons, whatever to kids, especially kids in need, but I'm reluctant with charities these days.
