The what's going on in Thrash thread

Was just reading an article in one of the local rags about music promoters and studios getting together in this country to offer bands the chance to come here, play gigs and record while they are in quarantine. It's a very interesting thought offered by one of our better (but still a pig) promoters. With some states here looking at opening up to 50% capacity venues in weeks and full capacity in months it could well be a good choice for some bands. Recording costs here will be lower, maybe the choice of producer wont be as wide, and they can do the recording while in quarantine, then after 2 weeks hit the road and tour to hungry audiences. I tend to think it wont happen, but it could be interesting if it does.

It would be. The same could be done for pasta, it all comes pre-cooked and cooled so you open the bag and all sticky and yukky. Flour could be mixed with water and it comes in clumps. Hand Sanitiser is nothing but water. However what would be really cool is that if these things had a shelf life trigger so that anyone who buys them for normal use, within a normal time frame, gets what they wanted, any hoarders keeping it for months get the dodgy product.
Diabolical! :headbang:

Hell yeah. Hope it works out!

We've still got a shitload of local bands crying poor because they can't play, despite most states opening up to some form of entertainment. So if recording here while not able to play live is beyond even some of our dumb local performers it's going to be an up hill battle talking internationals into it :)

Yeah maybe they should help the locals. Invest in their scene.

The problem is many don't want to help themselves, they'd rather cry poor that Corona has killed live entertainment. So many local performers here are just sitting back and crying that Corona has left them out of work and no way with no way to make money. We are supposed to forget the fact that the astute ones will actually be getting government support, and we are suppose to ignore the fact that options do exist because the cry that they can't play in a pub with 100 people crammed in is so loud and offered by so many. I wouldn't mind betting that some of the promoters involved in this idea are sick of hearing the local bands cry and do nothing for themselves and that's why they are suggesting the idea.

So, not gonna lie. The sound is a bit quite unless they zoom in on someone and the guitars are a bit quite. But it's not so bad and it's a pretty good set list. Although Last Stand For Independence seems like a weird choice.
I wonder how many people in the crowd had Covid?! :erk:
