The what's going on in Thrash thread

He's an old man I just don't want to risk him getting too tired. Dad and I serviced our cars yesterday and despite me being the one on ground shoving my hand up into places that seemed physical impossible and getting covered in grease and oil he tells me this morning he was sore, stiff and tired last night and is paying the price this morning.

On the up side my eldest daughter was such a great help yesterday, while I was laying on the grass in weird positions moaning and groaning in pain she was laying next to me saying helpful things like, "there's a spider", "there's another spider and it's crawling up your arm", but I think the most helpful part was when she said, "you've got a strange looking caterpillar crawling in your hair". Honestly you can't pay for help like that!!
Jesus! That's a whole other game in Australia! That spider and caterpillar could very likely be the debel himself!

They were only small spiders, I didn't feel like Satan was invading me. Although the caterpillar did look kind of weird. When I heard her say caterpillar I thought she mean one of those things that turns into a butterfly. I didn't even think of one of those caterpillars we used to call spitfires when were kids. But when I found it crawling on the ground it was like a jet black worm with legs. Had it been bigger I might have considered it a centipede but instead it did look like it was straight out of a horror movie. Thankfully it didn't crawl into my ear!! I hope he didn't have any friends though!!

Aren't the small ones the worst!?! and that thing sounds like it's straight out of hell! You better watch it with those games. You don't end up with a boy crying wolf situation. I guess at least she warned you! :)

Well some are, but these were just tiny garden spiders. It's okay though, if these caterpillar things were horror movie worthy they'd have their own franchise by now...I felt safe.

Today I've been up in the roof rewiring a ceiling fan and I feel I dodged another bullet because the roof goblin didn't eat me, in fact I didn't even see him. I did however get a live power cable a bit too close to the shed and left a scorch mark in the tin shed though :). Thank fuck for RCD's (residual current devices) that see any current direct to ground and throw the circuit breaker or I could have had my own barbecue out there! :)

Reverend's stuff is pretty good, but I do think Wayne's solo album was better than what he did with Reverend. Of course any of it is better than what Kurdt has done to Metal Church.
The thing that annoys me the most is that Kurdt has his ballet band (whatever they fuck they called themselves) where he could play all the pop rocks music he desires, yet he seems to want to wipe out Metal Church. If he doesn't want to play metal step back and don't ruin the name.

I think if we're being honest, Mike Howe just wants to play hard rock too.

He played songs that were already written on Blessing in Disguise, but whenever he gets to write it's never anywhere close to being as METAL as what David Wayne was all about.

Maybe Mike has realised he doesn't have what he once used to and needs to tone it down. I remember seeing their 2018 Wacken set and while they tried to put some balls into the older songs Mike really wasn't singing like he used to. Songs like Badlands which once had the crowds active were almost dead and had very little life.

Yeah I kinda agree. Of course it really doesn't help when the band itself isn't really good enough to pull those songs off!

TBH we don't fuck around with mains voltage, it's always safety first, but given some of the silly things we've done over the years you could be excused for thinking we do. This house is a steel framed house so I've got to be extra careful up in the roof if I'm playing with power of any kind.

I think part of the band is. I think Steve, Rick and Stet can still pull it off. In fact I think Stet's done a pretty solid job his playing at Wacken in 2018 looked to be a complete stand out compared to the rest of the band.
