The what's going on in Thrash thread

It's probably hard to admit someone did something better than you :) He talks about how he'd had enough of metal, Testament were not going to be a headline band and he'd never played a headline gig yet Transiberian Orchestra (or whatever their name was) offered him that chance. It seems clear to me Alex didn't leave Testament because he was better, he left because he thought he deserved more. Fair enough to someone who thinks like that but saying anything derogatory about your replacement in the band you didn't want to be in is a shitty thing to do.
He didn't exactly make a big impact with Savatage after he left Testament.

I know you guys do it the civilized way by comparing Roos! Right? right? I hope I'm right! :)

Roos are actually at plague proportions, but it's hard to measure roos size when most of the country (probably as high as 75%) wouldn't have even seen a roo outside of a zoo.

Well I've read that they reintroduced some Tasmanian devils to the mainland after 5000 years. That should cut some of the Roos down!

Have they? It's not surprising, they are doing pretty well with the reproduction programs in Tasmania but the poor old Tassie Devil suffers badly from a chalmydia type disease when in the wild and it wipes them out pretty quickly. Reintroduction to the mainland might be an effort to change their environment.

Unfortunately the Tassie devils we have here are not like Loony Toons Tassie Devil, they and placid little creatures that don't spin around and tear apart cliffs and trees.

Honestly I'm going go with no. He's known in other circles for sure. But a "big" impact?

Yeah I wouldn't have thought so either. It's kind of like Lemmy, he was known and fondly regarded as a rockabilly singer but his impact was in heavy metal and beyond. He wouldn't have tried to convince people he was somehow better because of his rockabilly.

Yeah they've done a couple rounds of release. I can't remember exactly but I think they were bred and raised under supervision ..maybe lol. They are hoping to cut down the cats and fox.

Well they're still pretty cool. They make funny evil noises.

Feral cats are quite an issue in some areas, foxes less so. We used to hunt foxes and rabbits when I was younger.

Taz is still way cooler but yeah the little devils aren't bad.

I watched an episode of this show called Vice that was about the feral cat problem. This one guy who appeared to live in a pretty desolate area had hundreds of pelts.

The whole "a pet is not just for christmas" message was lost on many Australian's in the last 30 odd years and cats often got dumped in the bush, like that's more humane than having the pet put down. Dogs don't seem to get dumped as much but the feral cat problems in many areas are simply a result of humans being humans.

On tonight's list! I don't really think I'll like much aside from the bass though.

I haven't had another listen to it at decent volume (the previous listen was during breakfast with everyone else asleep), but I wasn't sold on the vocals.

It's a silly band name though.
