We got put under restrictions again yesterday (albeit it only limits on gatherings and mask wearing not another lock down) so NYE was pretty subdued for most. For us though we do fuck all anyway so it was a quite night followed by grocery shopping this morning in a near empty shopping center. It's been good so far.

We obviously wont know for sure how responsible people were for about 2 weeks (we still don't have the new UK strain that is faster acting in the wild here) but from most reports it seems like people were relatively good. Melbourne and Sydney were really the only cities that kept people out but they are the only two cities with concerning cases so it wont matter where it hits next Melbourne and Sydney will be to blame

We are supposed to be going tomorrow for my nieces 21st. Ever changing covid restrictions have put their party on the back burner now but because paintball is outside we are still allowed to do it. Not entirely sure how I feel about it. I know I'm going to be a good target because I'm lazy and injured but I also don't want to come home bruised and battered just for their entertainment.
