The what's going on in Thrash thread

I really like the in depth and professionalism of how this is presented very cool Slammed!

I've always been a fan of David Vincent era Morbid Angel and I knew Altars and Blessed were big genre defining albums but I didn't realise how far they reached into the non metal world. Between this and the Death By Metal doco I watched the other day I think I'm going to have to get some oldies out and have a death metal weekend!

Haha, just read a wonderfully accurate comment on Blabber. It was on the Gene Simmons story which of course was just another puff piece about Gene's opinions. But typical of Blabber commentors they have to argue who is right and how wrong everyone else is. But there was one comment that was too accurate for the site, it said something to the effect of, "the same fucktards here arguing this shit but watch them scurry when there is an actual musical article posted". The sad thing about that is that actual musical articles are becoming less and less.

I watched one of those "on the bus" videos with Blitz yesterday. it was from 2017 and apart from making me want an Overkill hoodie I love the way Blitz conducts himself in interviews. Oddly enough there was no Blitz finger on show but when DD was introduced to the camera that was all he could offer up.
Blitz is always entertaining isn't he? I need some new Overkill stuff too. They have a lot of cool stuff.

I saw that on FB. Good luck to them with such a thing but it's not where my money will be spent. Still could be worse, looks like the new Iron Maiden merch will come with a dose of Bruce's covid19 bug, but it will be at no extra cost!
I'm surprised about the figure. If you watch Zetro's show you can see he knows about collectables. The thing on pre order is way over priced garbage.

Yeah I saw he got it. Maybe Eddie can fill in!

Yeah that is a dead on comment. Sadly. And you're right the site is getting worse.

I liked the look of their hoodies and their 'work' shirts but none of them are available in fat bastard size. Many of the things in their official shop are only in small size right now. Seems everyone is getting rid of old stock and lowering the numbers during covid.

I guess most of that stuff comes down to how much money the manufacturer and distributor wants. I would assume the band ask for bulk "$X" as a package deal to use their names, faces, images etc, but manufacturer and distributor work out the per item cost and don't really care how much they are as long as they make money.

I wonder if Eddie can hit the high notes like Bruce?

Even when they do a music article they try to make it political. I understand just about everything these days can be political because we all have views and they aren't all the same, but I'm sure Blabber have looked at the numbers and they know which articles are getting the comments and views. Although I do think the BS factor of commentors has dropped a little bit lately. I don't go back day after day and check the same articles for comments but it appears many of the articles are getting less comments so maybe they are reaching a turning point where the BS levels will drop.

I've still got 80's and 90's band shirts in XL, I've even got one shirt that's a L and it still fits. But these days if I buy anything smaller than a 3XL it doesn't fit. I know I'm not as slim as I used to be but sizing these days also sucks. I need 3XL for length mostly but if I buy from the States a 2XL fits with room to spare. It's ridiculous I have to see the actual measurements of shirts before I try and buy from overseas.

I found one shop here in Oz with a Testament Brotherhood hoodie in stock and free postage but they didn't list sizes of any apparel on their website. How fucked is that?

Yeah I'm with you on that, it's another reason I stopped buying shirts and stuff. In the mid 90's/early 00's most of the band apparel coming here was polyester or poly cotton and it was poorly made, it also stretched and easily went out of shape. These days it's turned and most of the shirts are cotton, double stitched and quite robust. They have gone up in price but they are better than paying for shit.
