The what's going on in Thrash thread

Oh absolutely!A question though, what do you think about the production of Impact?

Cheesy like the songs :)
Not sure if it's only my copy or not but the CD I have is recorded low. If I put it in the player on random with other CD's Impact is always a lower volume. It sounds like there is little to no top end. Seems like they forgot to turn the peak limiters off across the soundboard and the entire CD got anything over a 7 on the meters automatically cut off.

I wonder if that's a reason why so many seem to hate the album. Sure the lyrics are a little cheesy and they are definitely more sing along than what they'd offered up to that point but I never really saw the reason to hate it like some seem too.

Oh an unrelated Exodus note.
I was just reading on MA (from some guy who claims to have interviewed Gary at a BBQ), that they don't play any songs from Impact of Force Of Habit because the record company own the rights and both are out of print, therefore Gary doesn't want people hearing songs they can't buy. I heard Gary in a Q&A a few months back say he likes Impact and would like to play some songs off it, but he didn't give reasons. I guess maybe that reason could be that they aren't in print.
Oh really? Crazy.

Going to have to put that on the watch list for later, 1:36 is too long for right now.
But you're dead right, Testament supporting Metallica wouldn't end pretty, Lars would kick Gene's drumming ass!! Jamez would out sing Chuck...hmmm maybe not!

For sure!
Impact seems to be universally hated by so many but I loved it, always have loved it. Force of habit a bit less so, but even that has some decent stuff on it. I'd love a show of older stuff like that, kind of like what Maiden did with their 'best of tour'

Both those albums have great stuff on them.

I actually love Force of Habit, and I made my own playlist of it where I take the 4 worst songs off of it and changed the track listing so it flows better. If it has been released the way I arranged it, with a better album cover with their old logo on it then people wouldn't look down on it. I think FoH has some of the best guitar solos that the H-Team ever did and Tempesta's drumming on there is great.
