The what's going on in Thrash thread

Something else I haven't watched this morning :)
I know who Johnny Z is but I wonder if I should be more interested in him.
Anthrax or part thereof are doing some tribute wars thing on Youtube I haven't watched yet too.

I like the $5 bin (prices have gone up since covid) at bookshops. So many of these books get dumped in there after 12 months or so of sitting on the shelf. I'm currently waiting for Nick Menza's book to make it's way there at one shop.

One book shop here has a reasonably decent bio section, just not very full of metal. But the metal that is there doesn't seem to sell so I check every few weeks to see if the books have fallen off the shelf into the bin like the KK book did.

We still have a few dedicated book shops around, nowhere near as many as we used to though. There is one or two chain stores left and Kmart, Target, etc still sell a small range of books but it's definitely getting harder for the smaller shops to survive. We've got one book shop here which is a bit pricey but the people who run it look like Amish people. I was disappointed when I realised they weren't going to trade a packet of pumpkin seeds for the book I wanted.

Haha no I didn't, do they work better?
TBF I can't fault the shop, they did a deal with the school where they offered all the kids in the school a free book. I think they got some sort of government grant and local donations and the books were offered to kids as a reward for good behaviour, reading, good work etc. Every kid eventually got one over the 6 months and there wasn't even a price limit on what books they could choose as long as it was a single book.
