The what's going on in Thrash thread

Holy crap, I just set up my new laptop, and the first thing I did to test it out was put on David Gilmour Live In Pompeii (because it was the first HD quality video I could find). Fuck it's amazing, I don't even think my desktop is this good.

The show itself is amazing. Unfortunately it's a sad view of the human race when there is only about a 1000 people in a venue that not many others will ever get to enjoy a gig from and whenever the lights go dim all you can see a crowd full of phone screens. Dave Gilmour is the closest we'll ever get to a Pink Floyd show again and the guy put on an amazing music and light spectacular yet all people want to do is make sure they've got crappy footage of it on their phones.

I'd be really surprised if that ends up being the title.

I guess it depends how the song of similar title turns out. It's a bit of a mouthful but having read it a few times now I'm actually thinking it could work. However Dave's probably got another dozen or so changes in him before the album is released.

I've never hated them but it's been easy to find fault with them. However with the lack of new stuff from other bands I think something new is growing on me. Whether than stands the test of time I don't know, but I do think they are improving.

Yeah she might be able to handle a guitar but the vocals do nothing for me and the drums sound like ice cream containers :)

So this year marks 10 years since both Megaeth's 13 and Anthrax's Worship Music were released. For me Worship Music has stood up a lot better than 13 in it's 10 years. 13 did grow on me after a while but I remember being quite under whelmed when I first brought it home.

Holy crap. It doesn't seem that long. I haven't listened to either in a while but I definitely listened to Worship a lot more than 13. I don't even think I listened to it enough for it to grow on me.

Yeah 13 was a real nothing album. I don't hate it but there is almost nothing on it that leaps out. Public Enemy #1 is about the only song I actually remember anything more than the chorus of.

Nah doesn't look like it. There is one song on there with writing credits to Nick and music credits to Marty but the only other person listed is some Christian dude who toured with Keith Urban, and played rhythm guitar for Kelly Clarkson who has done back up vocals on the last 5 Megadeth albums.

The song you are thinking of was on Super Collider (my spell check doesn't like Collider did Dave make that word up?). The song was called Dance in The Rain and the guys name is Drainman...actually it's not it's Draiman but I couldn't resist!
