As a steadfast Fear Factory fan I would like to argue with you guys, but can't. FF is a band that has fallen from being a prominent act capable of drawing decent crowds to a club act here in the states. I saw them headline the House of Blues to a large crowd in 2005 by 2012-2013 they were playing the shitty local metal bar. Dino was cool the one time I met him when his band Asesino played the same shitty bar. He shook my hand, signed all my FF cds, and talked to me for 10-15 minutes as I fanboyed hard. Not my proudest moment, but one I will never forget.

FF is one of those bands I never really got into. I own Mechanize but only because I own pretty much everything of Gene Hoglan's I could get hold of. I actually know very little about the band. I know they were in the media because of infighting and disagreements but really don't know what any of it was about. I don't even hang shit on their because they use(d) a drum machine, I just hang shit on them because I have no life

I can't argue with anything you say about them. Sadly, it is all true. They were pivotal in developing my early metal taste. Soul of a New Machine is probably my favorite and it shows a lot of Godflesh influence. Demanufacture and Obsolete were in constant rotation for me during high school and college.

I don't know why FF never really hit my radar. I don't think they were overly huge here and I don't remember seeing their name on too many gig rosters. But then after the influx of thrash bands that hit an already thriving local metal scene here between about 87 and 93, things went quiet. We did have some big bands touring, but they were not making a huge impact. I think FF might have come here a few times for festivals between about 05 and 15, but I can't be sure.

I'm just blowing shit lol. I have nothing really against them. They aren't a band I could ever totally get into back in the day. Some because of the samples and partly because I wished they had a real drummer. I don't take anything away from their achievements. I'm mostly just screwing around. but I do agree with Slammed about Dino's face.

I think if you look up the dictionary meaning of Loser there is a picture of Dave.

Only listened to it once and I know it's not something I'll be buying because I don't like the vocals, but at the same time I wouldn't mind hearing this without the vocals.
