TBH I haven't listen to it for a long time and I don't remember it that well.
Okay so when it was first announced I admit I wasn't overly excited about the movie Dwellers released by Ellefson films, but the more I read about it the more I think I've probably seen worse.
It's probably true that I've read more about this since the whole Megadeth BS but that's because David's FB page now talks more about his own stuff than it does Megadeth stuff. But this isn't an Ellefson movie, Ellefson films is just the low budget bank roll. David does make an appearance in one scene but that's it. It's a found footage film which I'm not overly fond of and I have no doubt it will be shot with many dark scenes to hide the lack of special effects but I have read that it's not a full on gorefest. But it does have me somewhat interested now.
I'm so fucking sick of hearing about this album, holy shit. Now I know why I have Facebook, it's too keep up with the important news like I got today.
"30 years already? Hit the link to see what Charlie Benate remembers of this landmark release!"
It's a link to Spin magazine's puff piece about the Black album.
Can't live without news like that!
I forgot all about this.

I guess I'd check it out if it comes on one of the streamers I have.So had I until the other day but now it's being talked about again I've decided I might give it time.
I think that might literally be a room in hell.Imagine buying and listening to the anniversary album with 5 million versions of each song on it!
I have to agree. Testament made the right choice and so did Flotsam. I needed those albums. I'm really glad they went ahead and put those albums out.https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/o...elease-date-of-new-album-keeps-getting-moved/
Looks like Overkill have been told "not until you can tour" as well. I saw them advertising a few Euro shows with Evile yesterday so they are definitely booking gigs which is a good sign.
But still, this attitude that tours must happen with albums has to fucking stop. Recorded music is one thing that didn't have to stop through the majority of this pandemic and it's one of the things people would have bought given so little else to do. What is going to happen if the shit really hits the fan and another wave of this shit hits the world worse than the first one? Bands will still bitch no music no tour?
I'm honestly surprised the labels aren't pushing for more recorded stuff. People have said for years labels make little from tours, they skin the artist for all the record money and merch. I would have thought the labels would be crying poor if that was the case, after all if the stories are true they are only making money on back catalogue sales, of which are no longer huge profit sales items. Seems to me that with so many bands and labels both on hiatus there is a lot more money going around the music industry than the consumer has been led to believe.
I know that's brushing the industry as a whole with one broad stroke, and the answer isn't as simplistic as I make it, but I also don't think it's as complicated as we are being told.

YES!
EX Sodom, Ex Suicidal Angels, the debut was a killer of an album, I hope the follow up in November is as good!

I wonder will anthrax just never put out an album if they can't tour? It's stupid. Time to rethink things.
