The what's going on in Thrash thread

You need them to jump over water with crocs!

Apparently that's needed less these days. I heard on the TV last night that wild ox and buffalo are tearing the mangroves to shreds and leaving the waters edge bare which leave the crocs nowhere to nest. No nest no babies no mummies and daddies.

That sounds about right. Too bad Ripper's restaurant went belly up. They could have a had a regular gig here.

I think the gigs will go well, and there will be a demand. Even Ripper plays solo around the world and with various bands. The KK/Ripper band will fare far better than that on the live circuit. Especially when they play songs that the other JP cover band isn't touching, like Sinner, the best songs from Nostradamus/The Ripper years, deep cuts from Stained Class, etc.

Having said that, I tried to give KK the benefit of the doubt and listen to a few of the singles from his upcoming album before forming an opinion. Well, they're just horrible. The best thing about it is the performances from the no-name supporting players like the drummer and the lead guitarist. It's clear that KK spent no time and thought whatsoever in what he recorded.

The notion that KK could've ever replaced Schenker in the Scorpions like he said shows that KK is at least partially delusional about his skill level.

I'd be surprised if he actually puts a lot of effort into touring.

Replace Schenker? Wow. Not on his best day.

Well why aren't they eating those things?!

Like all the feral animals we have here numbers are what makes them powerful and destroy the land. Down south it's rabbits, up north its big dopey cows with humps. Just wait until we end up with feral crocs roaming the cities, no one will be safe!!

Yeah I kind of agree. I think he'll throw a group of shows together and unless they are all raved about, sold out and the guy gets praise, he'll use the media to cry about how someone treated him badly.

I thought Metallica were opportunistic money grabbers, but I see on the release list for today Dream Theater are re-releasing their Master Of Puppets live cover album from 2002. Seems there is money in the Metallica band wagon even if you're not Metallica.

DD Verni's album is also out today, everyone on the big band train!

I watched an episode of this show...I think it was called Vice maybe. It was showing your feral cat problem. Unbelievable how many animals those things are killing.

Yeah that's how I feel. I think if it doesn't live up to expectations quickly he's either gonna quit or have a blame fest or both.

Welcome back Dave Mustaine!
Damn it's lucky the guy can write music and play that lump of wood he carries around because he's such a fucking dickhead at times.
Lol! Seriously. What would he be doing if not for those talents lol. Probably still dealing drugs. This squanders every drop of good feelings he ever gets from people.

Yeah I almost bought that those from their site back in day. I'm assuming they are instrumentals?

I wonder what DD's will say.

Realistically we have a lot of feral animals because we have a lot of open space and bushland where people don't live. Many of the feral cats and dogs are unwanted pets left to roam, animals given as pets for Christmas and ignored by New Years Day. But each of them are a problem to their own area. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad problem but Australia as a whole doesn't have a problem with feral cats, or oxen, or even camels, certain areas do. Cats and dogs are in bush areas not far from cities, people dumping animals are lazy and don't go far. Oxen and cows in the northern mangroves and bushland, mostly escaped from the large cattle stations. Camels throughout the outback, the biggest population outside of the Middle East and zero control in 180 years. And now rats are a plague proportions across the wheat belt of New South Wales. Each a problem in themselves but not a problem to the whole country.

Hehe, seriously I think a lot of current metal band members would be selling drugs if not for the music. But you're right, Mustaine might be a good business man, (as well as have good business people around him), but in any other business than the music business that shit would not be tolerated.

No idea I've never listened to them. They have 4 or 5 covers albums done live according to wiki. I presumed they'd have vocals, but never bothered to get them.

I also notice on FB DD is advertising his first gig with the Cadillac band soon. I think the music is going to be high energy and good on him for doing what he's interested in, but he's not going to convert any thrash only fans, just like he wont convert a big band fan into Overkill.
