Wow a Super Pit? That's pretty crazy and sounds very metal!
I'm glad you guys didn't get it any worse. I can't imagine a worse time to have to have your house fixed and appliances replaced. Everything is so expensive right now and people still have to wait for things. Not to mention the squish factor!
It's very metal, it's a gold mine!! https://www.superpit.com.au/
The second one looks a bit like the one we watched.
Yeah it's a terrible time for repairs, we do have it a little better in the country because trades can work, lockdowns although still active to some degree are not a huge issue, but prices are definitely over the top right now.
In really weird and maybe ironic timing the state government decided a few days ago that if we want to get out of covid it was essential to shut down the construction industry for 2 weeks because it was spreading covid more than any other industry given the non compliance with masks and vaxes etc. Some would say they should have been shut down already but you know business needs to keep high paid workers working, So we've had two days of violent protests by construction works (and fuckwit anti-vaxers) causing problems, now there is an earthquake and technically no construction workers to fix any damage! Someone up stairs is looking down and laughing at us
