The WoY Beer Thread.

Strange and somewhat nice fruity beer I got when I was in New Zealand.

As well as this other beer called Steinlager Pure, which was really very good. Really tasty and lots of flavour, but still nice and very refreshing.

Erdinger is nice and smooth I find. Nice change. Anyone else enjoy this at all?

Ahhh thanks for posting this. Had one of these a few months ago but totally forgot the name of it. I was at some bar and just asked for whatever they had on tap, and the barman pulled out one of those huge Erdinger glasses. Unfortunately after sipping it for 5 minutes I had to chug the rest and bail. :(

Went to the German border a couple of weeks ago and bought 18 cases (24 cans each) of Slots Pilsner. So I guess I won´t run out for a couple of months...:D

Ah, if you lived in Australia they'd be done in a week :p

More like a minute!

Ahh I'm going to hell for posting that. Especially in light of all the coverage that indigenous folks have been getting in the news recently, heh.

VB! :kickass: :puke: :kickass:

And, Miltbrand... holy shit, man. 432 cans of beer. What made you buy that many? Were they supremely cheap? Or you just love Slots Pilsner? :)

Man, that's the funnies picture... sad but funny. Most aussies would shoot me for saying this, but I'm thoroughly in accordance with Howard's deployment of the troops/mega police... Lefties and reactionaries all crap on about 'it's up to them, it's not about now, it's about their past'. I'm sure they're all thinking heavily about their past when their pissed and beating up their kids. Oh I can see them going 'oh woe that we were treated wrongly *boozes up* oh woe that things happened 50 years ago *smacks kid*'. If they don't take responsibility for their actions, someone has to. And now Howard's gonna lose the election :erk:

I had to buy more than 10 cases to cover the gas money. So I thought I might as well save some more. They´re, let me see, about $0.27 a can. Back here the cheapest (crap) beer is about $0.40 + the refund which is $0.18 per can/bottle.
Because I imported them from Germany to Denmark, I didn´t have to pay the german refund... So all in all I saved quite a bit.
And these Slots Pilsner actually taste pretty good!

I think everyone agrees that alcohol is a huge problem in the indigenous community, and I reckon that if areas should become 'dry' then so be it. Although I don't understand why it's become an issue all of a sudden, when such problems with indigenous communities have existed for a long time now. Anyway, I'm not entirely fond of Kevin Rudd but I wouldn't be able to handle more of Howard and his pack of retards like Downer, Andrews, Abbott, etc. Their handling of and response to the recent Haneef issue (amongst plenty of others) is just plain embarassing and indefensible. Mick Keelty should've been out of his bloody job ages ago, too.

So, yeah, uh... beer good, child abuse bad.

I think Howard knew that his position was in intense jeopardy, so he took a risk (in sending the troops to NT) which he knew would polarize the community, hoping more would like it than less. Cause it was a pretty right-wing maneuver, it was gonna have the socialists up in arms lol... I think he had to wait for a time when he could do it, and since he really doesn't have much to lose at the moment, he's done it cause he feels it's the right thing to do.

I think the news that came out today about Haneef's case was actually in favour of Howard. Just last night (or maybe the night before I forget), Kevin Andrews said 'Haneef's hasty departure heightens our suspicions'. All the lefties and reactionaries said 'ZOMG that's unfair, he has a new baby daughter, be kind, free him' and all that. Today what do we find? Emailed instructions from his brother saying 'Leave as soon as you can. Tell them you have a newborn daughter. Do not tell them anything more'. Mr Kevin Andrews? Right you were! Sucks to have been a critic, eh?

I have no problem with the government's handling of the case. Sure, the UK's information fucked up on us. But this is one of the risks of the new laws, which I support.

:D

last night i had way too much to drink, a shit load of captains and coke and a few beers, then i had a hit off a pipe (it seemed like a good idea at the time) and then i got really tired and woke up with half of my hair shaved off (i was trying to grow it out) and fag shaved in the back and then marker all over my back... we are still trying to figure out who did that...
