technically it doesn't need to, since God of War is based off of known mythology. It isn't really a hard thing to do to make a GoW movie, the only element you really need to think of is massive violent killing.

It was alright. I liked how 47 didn't end up all passive in the end, as would be the norm for a shitty hollywood movie, and you got to see that really hot chicks boobies.
