Thieves SUCK!

So I had my car broken into last night...

They stole my entire CD wallet, my nice $200+ MP3 player, my gym clothes (nice expensive ones too), my gym bag, and my car stereo system. They didn't even throw away my garbage for me... bastards.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

Oh yeah, and it happened to others last night too.

Insurance, the ultimate weapon against theft :)

I wish insurance were the ultimate weapon against thieves but that is not the case. I had my car broken into about three weeks ago. I have or had a nice sound system and it was valued at over $600 dollars. They took that with a few other items and snipped a fiber optic cable that is no longer made and I have to hunt down the manufacturer to find out where I can buy it. Mind you, the cable was only bought less than two years ago. The sad thing is when I called the police to report it, it was all done on the phone and still to this day I have not seen the police report. If you call your insurance company, you have to pay a deductible regardless if it was stolen or not, for me it would have been $100. The sad thing is the deductible was not the problem, if you report it to your insurance company your rates will and do go up. That is how they get their money too. Therefore, in the end I had to go out, buy a completely new system, and pay to have my door locks repaired. The only good thing that began of it I ended up getting a system that has an iPod adapter so I can listen to my iPod through the player now and you do not have to find a frequency that it will play on, it is crisp and awesome. I installed it at my relatives location just in case the thieves lived by me and did not see me put in a completely new system. I have always bought systems with detachable faceplates since I was 18, in my 30’s now, and I now use them. Sad thing is the way the system works is the thieves get away Scott free and usually are not caught. Insurance is there to protect you but in the end, you, the customer, have to pay for these idiots mistakes. ~Alison

one time in highschool someone stole my cd holder...some of my cds are pretty rare and/or hard to come by, even then...so i was pissed...but i knew who did it so i went to the school officials and they got it back for me...
yeah that sucks...my friend at work keeps getting his cds stolen out of his car...even his copy of that Lamb of God cd he had signed...poor guy...

This one guitarist I know had his guitar stolen from the car after a show, and then found it at a guitar center a few weeks later. It's gotta suck to have to buy your own guitar back.

I had a pair of shorts, wallet and keys stolen from my p.e. locker one time. The shorts, wallet and keys were returned a few months later. I was missing $30, but oh well.

Why would somebody want your gym clothes? Rather odd

I know how you feel, when I lived in Houston, my car was broken into twice, stolen once and my house got robbed.

After all of this, I lost roughly $10k in stolen goods. They caught one of the guys that robbed my house and he got like 10 days in jail. A bullet would have been much more deserved IMO.

At the time this happened, I could not afford insurance, so there was no compensation. Fukin' theives suck.....

If I ever catch someone who steals (or tries to steal) any of my music gear, I'll smash evry joint in every limb and extremety they've got with a fucking hammer.

My purse was stolen in february....one my of my Death CDs was stolen, along with my CD player....i wasnt too upset about anything but a Proctector patch that i had recently bought.....but that was replaced to, so it didnt matter.

oh..lots of money was gone too.

I once pulled a James Bond on someone who kept breaking into everyone's locker at gym class in high shcool. I always carried my disc man with me but always left my old walkman in my locker. I had tweaked it a bit with a PC beeper and a capacitor bank that would trigger a transistor switch after an hour and a half thus rigging the PC buzzer at clipping volume... So at the next period (in math class) someone's backpack went BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

And the guy received quite a beating from a couple of angry jocks that had their gym shorts stolen ... :) HAPPY DAY!
