* bought a classical (nylon string) guitar

god damn it's just so much easier to play than my first guitar: an admittedly nice steel-string that i've had for ten years or so but just never really learned to play, the strings are too close to each other and it has such a tense feel to it grrr

maybe i will finally learn how to play something without hiding behind five hundred tons of distortion

i could write a book on this subject

wish i never quit playing piano,
that i took up guitar sooner and pursued other instruments
that i was more outgoing in the past
etc

I took karate for 8 years, from 7-15 years old. I really wish I had picked up an instrument instead. Had I, I would be really fucking good by now. Granted, during those years i was pretty kickass, and for such a little nerd, I could hold my own in a fight. But I've since lost any skill since then, leaving me with 8 years of my life wasted.

this thread was technically going to be about not regrets that you never did a thing, but rather about finally doing a thing and figuring out you should have done it earlier, but same difference i suppose
