THIS is the best game ever done!

I remember that.

I remember being in 4th or 5th grade (maybe younger?!) when our class would go to the computer room and they had the old school Apples. Mystery House, Maniac Mansion, and Oregon Trail FTW!!

My friend gave me Police Quest that was saved onto a floppy disc.

Also - remember the HUGE floppies? LOLOL

LOL, don't get me started! I had Monkley Island 2 on those. IIRC there were about 15 disks in total that needed constant swapping! You had to be well organized to finish that game :D

They even made a joke about it in a later game:

Don't knock those floppies, they could hold a whole 700 KB of information! WOW

That's a lot of compressed porn!

Love this thread! Surprised no one's mentioned Super Metroid or Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. I have to throw in Tetris as well.

Why has nobody mentioned Starcraft yet?? Or have I missed it?

Great thread, brings back memories!

Hell yes, Symphony of the Night is worth playing for the music alone. Beautiful game!

I also have to agree that Tetris is an unsung hero. It's just so obvious that it gets forgotten. It's similar with Mario games. There is almost no use in mentioning them because...well who doesn't like Mario?

Oh god, I feel OLD now.

Day of the tentacle, monkey island 1&2, doom, altered beast, link to the past were all great games.
I miss those moments.

haha seeing all the comic style games remindet me of this one

When I got that game back then (if I'm not mistaken it came with by dads new windows95 pc haha), I thought it was THE best thing ever period.
Still think it's awesome, and played through it again 2 years back or so :D
