which one(s) of he mayor festivals would you like to attend to? i already read that some of you are huge WACKEN fans, which i as well had in mind for this year. DYNAMO seems to be dead, i have to attend to the BIZARRE festival because it was so cool past year (we even had a refridgerator :D).
so if some of you are venturing to center europe this year, we might even encounter each other, which would be quite funny i think :D
but i will decide when the line-up has a bit more substance than it now has. my suggestions are:

wacken
with full force
bizarre
mera luna
wave gotik treffen (but the people suck)

hmm the Rotonde Fest :)
it's a very very small festival at 1h driving from Paris, the only band confirmed for now is Within Temptation
last year, there was The Gathering, Lacrimas Profundere (it should have been Anathema, but they canceled without any explaination) and 4 unknown french bands

I'll try to go to Wacken but it will be hard for me since i am supposed to work for my univeristy all the summer

i am gonna spend my birthday in budapest, at the pepsi sziget festival that lasts for about eight days and i don't know if there is any band i know (last year they had anathema and that would be more than enough for me) but i won't have the money to join any bigger festival so i'll spend my time in eichstätt or passau i don't know all is fine yeeeeeeeehaaaaa:D

they have quite good bands at the pepsi sziget, methinks new model army have been there as well. and it's affordable... but 8 days is way too much for me. after three or four days i am satisfied, but glad i can get home for a decent shower :)

well I'm one of those wacken fans :)
my first fest was in 98, I attended in 99 and 01, and so I'll do this year. It's 25 h driving from here so it's not what we could call it near...but I just love it. Well this year become too big to me....there was a lot a lot and a lot of ppl, but it's always something great to visit :)

a week before (just as I did last year) I'll go to Rock Machina here in Spain 2h driving (in Valencia). It'll be the 3rd edition and well last year was much better than the first one, so this must be even better. Besides I met many many many friends from the IRC channels (Spanish ones)

I would love to go to SummerBreeze (in Germany too) but that's not possible due to the dates, the money and the distance....oh! cruel fate!

and yeah, I'm the one who loves to meet ppl from around the world in weird places :)

hehe i just try to imagine how such an encounter possibly would happen...

"ok, let's meet at the row of dixies just next to the döner kebap guy. i'm the one with the red rose in his buttonhole." (no, not butthole)

arharhar

vc
(getting drunker with every kölsch)

anyone wanna donate to the "Poor Californian Teen Death Metal Head Who Really Wants to Go to Wacken" fund? Its a great cause and youll help a poor teenager who cant afford to fly to Germany see all his favorite bands!

I've checked and there are 13 funds with the same name....
so or there are 13 californian guys who want to go to wacken (don't think so) or final_vision is taking advantage of charity ;)

@vulture_culture: well we can just gather around the most drunk man, who surely will lay in the ground with hundreds of empty cans over himself (i've got a picture of me just near one of these heaps of flesh and bones)
or just in the lavatories.....I'll be the one with the black t-shirt!

It's gonna be the first year for me to visit some festivals, but you can bet to catch me at Wacken, and I'm definitely planning to be at Bang Your Head. And, if I can spare the time and money, Summer Breeze is gonna be a sure visit for me, as well :)

To find FatherVic in Wacken, just look for a man that seems drunked at first look (perhaps his coke is more special than I thought), and keeping a few tones of Doritos. Yeah, he's the man.
