Thoughts on new James LaBrie cd?

That's a hell of a deal. CMDistro has had it for a little while and I need to get my hands on it before it sells out. As a matter of fact, they always have sweet little deals like that. Got a couple nice ones before.

It is a hell of a deal if the shirt doesn't look like shit. I did this with the newest November's Doom album and the shirt looked like shit. It was of no fault to the band, as they were just as infuriated with it. I wore that shirt to MN Metal Fest when the played here last year and they hated it.

But on the flipside of that, I did the new cd/shirt deal for the new Nevermore album, and the shirt looked pretty awesome.

When I purchased the Orphaned Land package, the shirt that came in was very sweet. The Amorphis one, I wish the shirt + print weren't so "tough" if you know what I mean. It sure looks beautiful, but it seems that the cotton is a little harder than usual. I got lucky so far.

I really wanted that Blind Guardian package with the workshirt, but I was late.

There are some also deals on there now (cmdistro and the nuclearblast usa store) including LaBrie, Accept, Immortal, Rhapsody of Fire, Enslaved... a shirt and the album for $20, you really can't beat that.

Interesting album, still digesting it. It does sound kinda Swedish, track 2 reminds me of Soilwork.

This is exactly what we were thinking when I played the first few tracks on SeismicRadio earlier tonight.
Very impressed with the direction on this CD. I picked up the combo deal at Century Media's table at PPUSA based largely on early comments on this forum, and I'm not at all disappointed.

I am just now hearing this whole album...I picked it up on Saturday.

So far, so good...I like it. He sounds great, the melodies are really good, the playing is sick. The growl vocals are cool...not too shrill/modern, but not totally gutteral...very Swedish (Darkane guy, right?).

So far, I like it better than the last couple of DT records...
