I wouldnt listen to half the bands i do today without the net. Got sick of the radio years ago and came on the net to find new bands. Both metal and non metal.

Same here and I'm always looking for new stuff. It's difficult and it takes some time because I'm picky but it's worth it in the long run once I find something I really like.
