Vektor is another clear example, is Demolition a demo or an album? I remember when it was clearly considered their first album, now most people refer to it as a demo, jsut like the first Hexen album. Weird.

I bought Demolition when I saw them open for DT and Firewind (iirc) in 06 or 07. It's a tough call. It isn't "demo bad", but they scavenged enough from it for Black Future and dramatically improved production enough where I can see the argument to call it a demo. It's definitely not an EP, too long.

The Storm Before the Calm is my favorite album form that year. Beyond the Permafrost is my fav Skeletonwitch album.

Added! I honestly never heard it before now, I thought Slayer sucked in the 2000's. Scanning through it, some of that album is pretty kickass.

Yeah +1 for both of those albums. In Hatred's Flame EP is too similar to In Hatred's Flame album in my opinion, but i'll add it anyway if I can find it.

Lot of people love to hate on their last two albums, talking about "recycled riffs' and what not when some of their favorite death metal and black metal bands have made a living off of recycling riffs ... Bolt Thrower, Darkthrone etc.

Christ Illusion and World Painted Blood are both solid Slayer albums. CI is the better of the two, butWPB has two very good tracks ... Pyscopathy Red and Unit 731.

That Lazarus AD album is fun. Too bad they immediately went down hill.

Yeah they were one of very few bands to do Groove/Thrash right on that album. There are a couple decent tracks on their 2nd album like "The Ultimate Sacrifice" but they went more of a Groove route unfortunately.
