Thrash!

Listened to Blessed Death - Destined for Extinction a couple of times recently. It's a pretty raging thrash album! The guys voice is cool. The song Incoming Wounded would put me "in a frenzied madness" if I saw them play that live. This is another album I have on cassette that I need on CD.

Anyone know how their more recent (or previous) release compares?

Rigor Mortis - Freaks just rules. Well, all except that part in freaks where they play that riff like 200 times in a row. Why did they do that?

I know, it's probably closer to death metal, but it's early and still seems connected to thrash.

The self-titled is their best. Definitely shades of Death Metal, but overall I'd say they're undeniably Thrash. And some of the fucking best Thrash ever, at that. Scaccia's leads are utterly mind-bending.

What do you guys think of Testament's new album? I've listened to it a couple times but nothing really sticks out besides "More Then Meets The Eyes". The album just doesn't hold my attention.

The Legacy is definitely their only good thrash album. After that it was unmemorable mid-paced Metallica worship, until they realized that they were better as a groove/death band.

I always thought Practice.. was a weak album and i wrote off Souls of Black without listening to it. Testament will always be solely a thrash metal band for me.
