Tipping the pizza guy/girl

When we get pizza my Jewish friend insist on being the one to get the door. He enjoys behaving stereotypically of his race, and does not tip the pizza guy.

I also used to deliver, and when I tip, I usually just round it up to the nearest dollar, and vuala, they have their .83 cent tip. This usually applies to tipping at all places.

You want that kind of tip, you give me service worthy of it. I'm not afraid to refuse a tip on shit service, and pizza doesn't get above flat rate.

More than $2 is too much I think. I used to give more until I examined a receipt one time that listed "Delivery fee" for another $2.

However, if I'm paying with cash and the total is $15 or more, I just give the guy a 20 and tell him to keep the change.

I tipped $10 to a waitress at Red Lobster who gave my drinking buddy and I free beer when we were already hammered. Kept bending over and showing tits and such. He gave her $10 tip too. We didn't even eat much. THAT is how you get money from me.

depends on the pizza place.

you've gotta do the math.

if the pizza will give you the shits for the next 2 days, you need to figure in:

water bill for toilet
amount of toilet paper
tums

then in my estimate the pizza man owes me 12.50

Seems to be correct.

maybe 12.75 in rare occasions.

Their lives will be spared, ain't that enough?

I barely ever order food, considering the kind of people making and delivering pizza here.

Is it also common in the states that you get a free bottle of wine to you pizza order?

Ah, no, I believe that falls under strict state laws... you have to have a license to transport as a business, and then you have to card the person you deliver to. Too problematic.

It's really kinda strange how much our laws concerning alcohol differ from the ones in the US. And then there are also all those differences between the states. If I ever go to the states I'll probably be arrested in a heartbeat!

Consider few of the pizza drivers here (as in, the area I'm in) are 21 or older, they can't drive it to us either. Forgot to mention that.
