To all Toronto area fucks....

the discussion if whether or not halford is a metal god will end now. because he is a self proclaimed metal god. and anyone who is a self proclaimed anything is automatically not what they claiming to be. micheal jackson: self proclaimed king of pop(right?). hes is by default by self proclaiming his godliness not the GOD of pop music. halford: self prclaimed metal god. again, not metal god for that same reason.
and yah sure, judas priest, sabbath, maiden and such revolutionized the genre, but there is no ONE metal god(singular person) or gods(band) responsible. some bands did more than other bands yes, but they are not gods, they simply have the title of being more reviolutionary than another. big fucking deal. this god status nonsense(WHICH is self proclaimed by halford himself and therefore invalid) and not worth the arguement. and if you really wanna be a bitch about it, lets just go out and call judas priest the revolutionarioes, not just that other fudge-packer.

so, fuck this. nevermore rapes the fuck out of fucking judas priest, maiden rapes priest, nevermore rapes maiden. therefore: nevermore rules all. fuck this arguement, fuck this thread. everyone go put on dreaming neon black and fuck yourselves.

there, i'm done :)

love always,

-me

People started calling Priest & Halford "Metal Gods because of their song METAL GODS,simple
Halford was one of if not the first to sing in the "metal"
style ie. fuckin heliom high. You can hear his influence in alot of metal these days, but the real metal god is James Taylor (what an angry soul that man is)

Now that I think of it... DIO!!!.. he has no status but he is so good. Fuck status actually, I like Dio, Halford and WD... all good singers, im proud to be a fan of metal since these guys are so fucking good and nobody knows of this "secret talent"!

And yes, Testament is not coming to Toronto :(, I don't think Noel (Inertia dude, promoter) is a greedy asshole, but a deal could not be made out. I also heard that Testament will be missing some dates on the tour because of personal problems with Chuck Billy (ie: think he has cancer). So thats probably what the reason is.

Ah well, Amon/Primal Fear/Immortal and Halford will all kick ass. Pain Museum could be something cool, but who knows. I just hope I have my Minidisc recorder by then so I can trade with ya 495 heh! \m/

edit: btw, you going to the Opeth show that is strolling by your neck of the woods 495?

Ahh that sucks man, yeah Opeth aren't even coming back to Canada so Im missing them too :(.
Too little time and so few resources eh!. I totally understand what you mean.

That BW & BK show sounds fucking good though, that'll make up for it man :). BTW, you have any interest in seeing Jag Panzer?, they are performing like a special set from songs only found on their first three albums!

Black Sabbath's Black Sabbath shaped what Metal is today, btw. without that album, and the proceeding Sab albums, there wouldnt be a METAL

Just a short note. There were no preceding Black Sabbath albums before the self-titled. Perhaps the word you want is subsequent.

would've costed an extra 20 bucks for them to come to TO, and since everyone bitches about the ticket prices and call the guy, INERTIA (guy who brings the shows) greedy, he decided to keep the price low and just drop testament off the bill.

Ill still go...Sucks though that the 3 bands I was very excited about dropped off.But I was looking forward to halford most.
Plus, Im gonna miss amon amarth on tuesday, so, at least I can catch them on the metal gods tour.

That show is cancelled for good now...pisses me off, I wanted to meet Carnal Forge...

Fuck, from the sounds of it, it could be cancelled :yell:. Im so fucking pissed off now. I'll have to wait for the "official announcement" though, must keep hope eh.

Haha yeah I'll be at The Haunted show for sure man, its on a Saturday \m/!!.

And yes, 495, expect a pm from me if it comes in the mail anytime soon!!!, shit Opeth even play Harvest on it.

dude, it's OFFICIAL, believe me, the promoter said so himself on a messageboard, it's off, no metal gods for torontonians

Im probably gona skip the haunted, but Im going to amon tonight

Ecstatic Youth we will play for you guys next time, Amon Amarth did great on the tour and we had a good time while it lasted, we rather had all the other members get strep throat rather than our singer at the time, we would have still played but the cookie crumbled when his throat was getting way worse after the Ohio date. Canada we were anticipating so much since the begining of the tour. :-(

I have bootlegs of Montreal Death Metal Fest, could you email me some information about that if you know anything about that? Thanks! dethofme@hotmail.com
