nope, not metal... but they do kick ass. I believe someone once said they could be considered technical progressive rock.

I wouldn't call them metal, but the music industry seems to classify them as either nu-metal or prog/rock or something. They deserve the hype because they are better than 95% of mainstream bands today... and have intelligent lyrics. :Spin:
