I tried to limit the lists to artists/bands whose discographies I find consistently enjoyable or strong. Of course, there are some exceptions; but those exceptions have (in my opinion) released other albums that I feel redeem them for their lesser material.

Judas Priest are my favourite band but I don't like all their albums. I'm really loving traditional doom metal but my collection isn't big enough for me to really say which are the bands who have the perfect discographies. I think eventually Pentagram, Trouble and Saint Vitus will have crept into my favourites list, replacing some thrash metal bands.

Man I love Sublime. It's like they just took every other reggae rock song from the nineties and played it exactly the same way only with no differences. But what's really good about them is that if you go to parties at all in the US, there's an unspoken rule that you have to like them, or you'll get the shit beat out of you. Sublime is my favorite band.

After Metallica three times, that is.
