TOP 5....METAL GUITARISTS..

Steve Vai ( ThrasherGod )
Devin ( you really get to hear his skills in his solo stuff )
...can't think of more right now.

Adrian Smith - Iron Maiden (the killer, awesome melodic guitar playing genius)
Tony Iommi - Black Sabbath (Invented 99.4% of all known riffs)
Mike Amott - Carcass etc etc etc (Revolutionalised death metal almost single handedly, though not underestimating the influence of Bill Steer)
Dave Mustaine - Megadeth (You can't touch how many quality songs this guy has written)
Piotr - Vader (This bloke dragged death metal from its tomb in 1996 - and continues to write riffs that King and Hanneman can only wish they had produced)

3 Zak Wyld. i have heard that in real life, he is little more than a stinky obnoxious tool, but that man can jam!

5 Kerry and Jeff. i know they're two guys, but they play off each other and you couldn't really have one without the other. i don't usually like their solos, but for the note for note proficiency when they're live, they gotta be on this list

how can u tell i have a lot of time on my hands at work?

i should slap you for putting zakk before kerry and jeff
