Fieldy's fairly terrible, but he does have a distinctive sound, I'll give him that. The Cannibal Corpse guy IS amazing, watching the live cannibalism dvd was like

Simen Hestnæs (ICS Vortex) of Dimmu Borgir. not only is he a powerful bassist, his clean vocals are awesome.
Michael Nicklasson of Dark Tranquility- fun to watch and has some cool bass lines.
Shavo Odadjian of System of a Down- some really really kick ass riffs, awesome beard, awesome band, see my sig.
Oliver Riedel of Rammstein- in their live DVD he has a solo. A bass solo. he's awesome. plus he put electrical tape over his head for that concert

Well, that, and his PLAYING STYLE. He is about the only guy that's dumb enough to slap EVERYTHING on a downtuned five string with floppy strings (besides coal chamber and a couple other korn rip-offs), no one else has ever really had that sound in my experience (maybe for a good reason, but it still is the case).
