Top Ten Bands No One Seems To Know About.....

Technically, most people haven't heard of most of the bands we discuss on this board.

I concur. I've heard of maybe 30% of the bands being mentioned here, so I can only imagine how few non-metalheads know.

The most obscure band in my collection is probably I Shalt Become, which isn't really that obscure. Of course, I buy all my music from local stores, so most of it isn't going to be that rare.

you want popular stuff...then go back to listening to Fall Out Girl and The All American Retards you fuck.

Because, as we all know, if you don't like Gojira, you must like emo. Nevermind that Gojira basically IS emo. Pay no attention to the hipster behind the spazz grind curtain. I am the great and powerful Oz!

:kickass: You're all nuts! esp V5 :kickass:

Yes, we are. Porn and good music, who needs anything else in life? :D

I think mine would have to be

1. Leng T'che
2. Sybreed
3. Vampire Mooose
4. Hell Within
5. Gojira
6. Carnal Forge
7. Byzantine
8. Heaven Shall Burn
9. Russian Circles
10. Neaera

what do you guys think?

Leng T'che are pretty popular and accesible for a grind metal band. Carnage Forge is pretty well known and catchy to boot, Heaven Shall Burn is metalcore, and Byzantine are quite popular with their Lamb of God-core sound.

Mock
Nox Intempesta
Niden Div. 187
Kyprian's Circle
Vintersemestre
Dimhymn
Hazael
Jumpin' Jesus
Rippikoulu
(Mass)Psychosis
Sororicide

seeing as this thread is basically becoming a "i dont consider obscure bands that ive actually heard of obscure, im cool" circlejerk:

dude, mock, nox intempesta, kyprian's circle and sororicide aint that obscure! and niden div. 187 are reviewed on ANUS for god's sake!

I don't feel like making a list, so I'll just mention one band.

Dies Irae (This is an odd one really presumably due to their demo being reviewed on M-A combined with the near Herculean effort needed to get a copy of it, because alot of people know about them - but few I've talked to know their music. Speaking of the Norwegian band who released only the demo Circle of Leth obviously)
