Tube Saturation VST - SPL TWIN TUBE / VST ALTERNATIVE?

these look very interesting.
i'm using the free TAL TUBE at the moment with some excellent results (used that on the clean vox in my deathcore song i posted in the rate my mix section)
now i'm thinking about stepping up and getting this thing here :

SPL TWIN TUBE

1 - ANYONE USE THESE ? ARE THEY WORTH THE $$$ or im my case €€€ ?

2 - ANY VST ALTERNATIVES THAT YOU GUYS USE ? (yeah i'm on cubase 5...)

Does cubase 5 still have the Datube plugin in it?
 
Try them out for yourself. They offer a 14 day demo, which I'm trying out for myself.

I'm no analogue tube/saturation buff, but to me it didn't really sound like it added much that I couldn't get via other plug-ins. The harmonics section was a cool way of adding brightness without EQ though.
