Hey guys.. I came across a lot of bands who use tubescreamers, ts9 and 808's.. I was wondering what they do to your sound, because I don't see a reason why they would need to boost their distortion with the amps they're already using (5150's, VHT's, Rectifiers etc). And can someone please give me a short description to what's the difference between the ts9 and 808, because i'll have to run it through a 6505 head... really sorry if this has been discussed a million times here!
