Anyways, as for Gene Hoglan, he's a great metal drummer as far as stamina and speed goes, but aganist a seasoned jazz or fusion drummer, he will fall short in terms of variety and dynamics. Those jazz drummers are technically able to play the most demanding metal songs, too.
