So I'm going to be doing some tests here over the next week or so to determine whether I want to save up and buy the Two-Notes Torpedo(live version most likely). SO here's how I've figured I've accomplish this, I'm going to do a series of tests on every element, and tell you all how much post processing I had to do to get what I feel is a usable product. We're starting first with the Torpedo PI-FREE plugin, which comes with only a marshall cab loaded with T75's, and a single sm57. And I will be using Lasse and Mango's DI's for every test, so thank you much fellas for these wonderful tracks! Also, the bass and drum settings will never change during any of this!

Test 1:

same here, and I also see it as a great workaround for my home studio as I live in an apartment, but I wanted to do a step by step test to fully decide. Next I'm going to use my 5150 head into the plugin and see what happens when a real amp is thrown in the mix!

Pretty sure this is the Slash Signature cab that's loaded with V30s (since that's the only 4x12 Marshall cab in the Torpedo so far... users requested they add other Marshalls such as G12T75s and Greenbacks-loaded so they should come next).

Cool tone btw.

ahh I thought I read it was 75's, but guess I'm wrong! but thanks! I'm digging the tone, although I feel it's still lacking a bit(but all ampsims are IMHO)

The thing is this cab/speaker/mic combination gives you a specific sound, and other cab/speaker/mic combinations give you way different sounds.

With my Torpedo VB-101 i like this Marshall 412 V30/SM57 combination for some stuff but it's not my go-to tone by any means.
If you have an iLok2 you should try the PI-101 WOS trial versions and get some of the other combinations' goodness :)

I want a Marshall 75's cab real bad tho' :) I hope it will come in the next free cabs batch.

ok so in continuing my test of the torpedo products I'd like to involve some people.. actually I'd like you to involve yourself! I'm looking for people with recording pre-amps, yes real live ones! I have the guitar DI's I'd like you to run through them and send back to me! so let me know if you're interested and I'll tell you what all I need.

i have a really good interface + DI/reamp box + torpedo vb-101 but no real recording preamp...

Hi MEGA DAVE,
I own a Marshall JMP-1 preamp and the Torpedo PI-101 plugin, if you need something feel free to ask ;)

Here is a quick clip of this setup (PI-101 was also used on my bass tracks) :

here's my reply from my inquiry about US shipping:

"Dear Dave,

Then a reply from the US distributor:

"Hi David, I'll be glad to assist in anyway, as Guillaume mentionned, the units are now in transit to us. Do you have a prefered dealer in your area?
