I am a big fan, but i have two questions, First- how well do your records sell? Second, why does the band receive so little publicity?- even in the metal underground- I only heard of the band because someone had started a arabic metal thread on the Opeth board.

And now to answer your questions:
Actually we had a strong promotion but it was in the 90's, I can say that our albums sold pretty good in the scene and they still keep on selling, the thing is that in 1997 we got into a silence and almost didnt release nothing untill today...it is a 7 years of silence and somthing does happend to the hype the band had, these days we work on our next album which will be released in Century Media, I can assure you that there will be a massive promo to it

I understand, it then was the long period that you guys didnt put anything out, that contributed to the lack of publicity. If you dont mind, how come you guys had such a long period of as you call it- silence?
Also, how is your working relationship with Century Media? I know they have fucked over a few bands.

Thos 7 years of silence were somthing we had ti live with and to accept, it is a combination of living in Israel, personal realashionships of the band members and our personal lifes that made us to choose this silence, we are happy to be back
As for CM our relashionship with them is great, it is natural that on some cases bands are not happy and some happy, everybody has is own reasons, as for us, I cannot tell anything wrong.

Oh another question, sorry i am just amazed you guys are answering- Anyway, Does the band again plan to mix middle eastern music, with metal, and if so, will there be any different middle eastern musical approaches? I really have very little exposure to middle eastern music- so i was wondering if there were a number of different styles that your band can possibly incorporate.

Hey, any question that you might have, we are here to answer.
We will use again the middle eastern instruments we use and we will also make the use for the first time of some instruments that we didnt try before, mainly turkish and parsian instruments, in a way it will be a bit diffrent from our previous albums but it is Orphaned Land for sure.
